The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (1)

If you’ve read my Root Chakra Users Guide, here we’re moving onto the Sacral Chakra – which is all about emotions and how we relate to ourselves and to others. The element that this Chakra is associated with is Water – representing the flow of emotions through us.

The Water Element

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (2)

This is the Alchemic symbol for Water.

Because the Sacral Chakra is so closely related to the element of water, its energy is characterised by flow and flexibility. This means that blockages here can lead to significant control-freakery! Know one? Are one? Stay tuned to find out how to balance that right out of your life…

Where and what is it?

OK, a bit more information about the Sacral Chakra, where it is and what it does for us.

To start off with, it’s located about half way between our navel and genitals, and it takes its name from the sacral region (sacrum) which is towards the bottom of the spine a little further up than the coccyx (tailbone).

Because of its physical location, many of the physical ailments an imbalance can cause are centred on what is connected to and located around this area. Got a problem with your lower back? Pay attention to what’s coming over the next few days – it might point you in the direction of a solution.

The Sacral Chakra is all about how we relate to others. The energy, emotions and stories we carry about our Sacral Chakras are typically centred on our human need to feel emotions. And a severe case of emotional constipation can cause a real blockage in our life force and our vital energy.

How it affects your business

The Sacral Chakra is where our desire for personal expansion originates and through that, the formation of our personal identities through our relationship with the world around us, and the people who are in it.

It is where we create balance between giving and receiving. It’s where we are able to create balance between extremes. Something that’s impossible to achieve when we are unbalanced here. Sacral Chakra issues can show up in various ways – a notable one being that if you are in business, and doing everything right, but still not making money, then it’s possibly down to an inability to receive, which is directly affected by this Chakra.

Connection to Ancient Egypt

I mentioned previously (in the Root Chakra series) that the Ancient Egyptians were using the Chakras for thousands of years before they became known as the Chakras.

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (4)

Because of this, they’re all associated with different Ancient Egyptian gods. And the Sacral Chakra is associated with Anubis – who was the chap with the head of a Jackal (big dog).

Anubis was the son of Set and Nephthys. He was associated with embalming and the afterlife. He weighed the hearts of the dead to see if they were allowed into heaven. The weighed heart was compared to a feather from MAAT which symbolised truth and goodness. In a nutshell, he is associated with how we feel about ourselves – because even if we spend our lives doing good works, if we feel guilty for not doing more, then we’re not getting past Anubis. Because our hearts are too heavy! So one of the reasons that he’s associated with the Sacral Chakra is that Guilt is a very Sacral Chakra Thing.

Astrological links

I mentioned during the Root Chakra Series that each Chakra is related to a planet. The Sacral Chakra is related to Jupiter, and through that to Sagittarius – with topics such as opportunity, finances, optimism being associated with this Chakra. All of the Chakras come into play when it comes to making more money, (and keeping it,) but this one is specifically about our ability to receive – and what happens if we can’t.

So if you’re all about ‘the doing’ in your business, but you’re still not making the money you want, it might be worth your time to look into what an imbalance here can cause, and how to correct it. We do individual Cartouche Card readings in my Free VIP Facebook group (link in bio/header) which can get to the bottom of what’s going on. This is your official invite to come get a reading!

Emotional aspects

So we’re back to Water and the emotions today. The Sacral Chakra is linked to the element of Water because it’s all about how we feel about the world, and our relationship with it.

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (6)

Dependency or co-dependency on others is a symptom of an unbalanced Sacral Chakra. Being ruled by our emotions is another. We are all emotional beings, and a healthy expression of our emotions is crucial to our wellbeing. However there is a significant difference between being in control of how we express our emotions to the world, rather than being controlled by them.

Thriving on drama is not really thriving.

Why creativity matters

How creative do you feel? Are you totally in touch with your creativity? If so, then you’ve probably got your Sacral Chakra nicely in balance, because this is where the seat of our creativity lies.

If not? Then this is where you start looking for clues as to why not…

Want more Flow?

What’s that word? You know the one… when everything is going the way you want it to, and time passes really slowly when you need it to, and then fast when you need it to. You know.. when it feels like you’re in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. And it’s really easy to manifest what you want?
What IS it?
Oh, yeah. ‘Flow’.
Want more flow in your life? Then it’s time to balance your Sacral Chakra, Baby.

How we manifest

Buddha, Abraham Hicks, The Secret, every person who talks about how to manifest – they all say the same thing in slightly different ways.

We’re energy. We vibrate. We have a frequency, like a radio signal. We only hear what’s on our bandwidth. If we want to experience something different, it starts with what we think (Crown and Third Eye), it grows through our emotion (Heart, Solar Plexus and ESPECIALLY Sacral) and it appears through our action (Solar Plexus, Sacral and Root).

The Sacral Chakra is associated with the element of water, and through that with our emotions. Like Water, our emotions have a tangible effect on what happens. This is because our Sacral Chakra is associated with our reproductive organs, which are endocrine glands, which create chemicals, which affect our behaviour.

Often, Chakras are thought to be very wooly concepts with little practical application to life. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are totally relevant to how we live every aspect of our lives. And working with them can allow us to adjust our experience to be the one that we want to live.

As humans, when you boil it down to basics, we are electrical impulses that go onto create chemical reactions. The chemical reactions then dictate the actions that we take and the results that we get. Working with the Chakras is a way to ensure that your electrical impulses and chemical reactions get you the results that you want. They explain what’s happening to you, and with that knowledge comes the option to use it to achieve your goals – whatever they may be.

Crystals to balance the Sacral Chakra

As I mentioned during the Root Chakra Series – each Chakra is associated with a group of crystals. The Sacral Chakra is closely associated with:

Carnelian – restores vitality and motivation, while stimulating creativity. It gives courage and motivates for success
Rutilated Quartz – Illuminates the soul, and promotes spiritual growth by drawing off negative energy to help let go of the past.
Amber – promotes self-confidence and creative self-expression
Citrine – increases self-esteem and self-confidence.
Coral – quiets our emotions and brings us peace

Sacral Chakra Mantra

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (11)

How Chakras affect your self worth

The Sacral Chakra is very closely related to self-worth. And any issues with self-worth will be alleviated greatly by balancing and healing it.

People with self-worth issues often tend to overdeliver, over-help and overvalue others’ contributions while minimising their own. Which just makes the levels of self-worth they have even lower.

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (12)

If we were all acting from our undiminished, unresentful best selves, the world would be a much different place. Boundaries are an important part of Sacral Chakra healing. They’re there to keep us sovereign and they’re there to make sure we don’t accidentally take an opportunity to heal from the people we want to help the most.

What is an EGS?

If you want to know your soul’s desire, listen to your emotions. If you feel good, you’re aligned with it, if you feel bad, you aren’t. It’s that simple.

Our emotional guidance system is there to keep us safe. If we feel bad, then what we are looking at is a lie. So, if we feel bad because we’re upset about something, if we dig into what we’re upset about, there’s usually a belief there. And that belief is not true. Which makes us feel bad.

Finances and wealth

Jupiter is the planet that’s linked to the Sacral Chakra – and through it, this Chakra is related to opportunity, finances, optimism, wealth, health, justice (and the planet Sagittarius).

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (14)

Our self-worth is inherently linked with our net worth. Even if we have all the marketing, sales and scaling pieces in place, they will not work until we accept that we are worthy of receiving. Do to that, we have to heal our feelings of unworthiness

Vibration and frequency

The word Chakra comes from the Sanskrit word for ‘Wheel’, however, from a visual point of view, they are most often represented by a lotus flower.

Each Chakra has a different image of a lotus flower associated with it, with a different number of petals to each one. The more petals, the higher the vibration of that chakra. The Sacral Chakra lotus flower has eight petals, the Root Chakra has four.

How to get more balance

Want to feel more balance in your life?
Then the Sacral Chakra is the one you can work with to get that exact result.

Receiving is crucial to wealth and abundance

The Sacral Chakra – A Users Guide - The Magnificent Me Project (16)

A couple of days ago, we talked about how Jupiter, planet of wealth and abundance, was the one that was associated with the Sacral Chakra.

But did you know that this Chakra is also an integral part of manifesting?

Even if everything else is lined up perfectly, any manifestation will come to a screaming halt if we don’t feel worthy of receiving.
